On July 15, for the first time since its launch, Kolskaya wind farm hosted such a large number of guests: hundreds of athletes and their fans were coming to the venue from early morning to take part in a unique event - a trail race along the unpaved roads of the wind farm.
Charge with emotions and see the way it was:
The race involved about 500 athletes from 25 regions of Russia: from Murmansk region to Primorje. They competed in 4 adult courses (from 3 to 50 km). Young trail runners were also able to test their strength on the children's course.
The event was attended by well-known Russian athletes - football player and marathon runner Alexei Smertin and skier Alexander Panzhinsky, silver medalist of the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. They joined the most massive race - "Northern Wind" for 20 kilometers, in which more than a hundred people started.
There was also a dedicated event - a corporate relay race, which was held as part of the 25th anniversary of LUKOIL Sports Club. 10 teams of seven people came to the start and demonstrated remarkable will to win. The participants were represented by the teams of the LUKOIL Group, Kolskoye RDU, Severstal, TGK-1, Murmansk sports club Arctic Runners and, of course, the hosts of the holiday. The team of EL5-Energo brought together representatives of all power plants and HQ of the company.
All funds raised from the sale of slots were independently distributed by the race participants of the race among the charitable foundations of Murmansk region - "Children-Angels of Murman", "Kind World" and Voluntary Society for the Protection of Homeless Animals "Shelter".
We are proud of our colleagues:
