EL5-Energo PJSC's power plant operators are among the winners of the All-Russian competition “The Best in the Profession”
Today on September 22, 2023, at the site of Sirius federal territory in Krasnodar Territory, the federal stage of the All-Russian professional skills competition "The Best in the Profession" in the nomination "Best Power Plant Operator" was completed. The competition was arranged by ERA of Russia Association and the All-Russian Public Organization Electroprofsoyuz.
According to the results of the federal stage, Alexander Rud (Sredneuralskaya GRES), an employee of EL5-Energo PJSC, is the third in the absolute nomination "Best Power Plant Operator", Alexey Vinokurov (Nevinnomysskaya GRES) is the winner in the special nomination "Gas Turbine Plant Operator", and Alexey Dryukker (Konakovskaya GRES) is the 22nd among 52 contestants from all over Russia.
Alexander Rud says that he has worked in this profession for 15 years, he started in coal-fired generation, and for the last 6 years he has been working with gas-fired units. "Preparation for the contest was quite serious, for a month and a half we participated in a training camp, practiced with special simulators and revised the theory. The most memorable part of the competition was the first aid stage - very responsible and tense," says Alexander.
During a week 52 power engineers from different regions of Russia were assessed at 4 stages. The jury tested the participants' professional skills and the level of their theoretical training, taking into account compliance with the health, industrial and fire safety rules and regulations, and other professional rules.
The Best in the Profession contest, held upon decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, is aimed at raising the prestige of working professions, disseminating the best practices and achievements of the workers, and attracting young people to trade jobs.
