The project of PJSC Enel Russia on equipment modernization at Nevinnomysskaya GRES was selected by the government within the thermal power plants modernization program

  • The approved project is aimed at replacing the boiler at Nevinnomysskaya GRES 
  • After modernization commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022


MOSCOW, June 7th, 2019
 – According to the results of the decision adopted by the Government Commission on the electric power development, Nevinnomysskaya GRES of PJSC Enel Russia was selected among the projects for modernization of thermal generation following the results of the first competitive selection for 2022- 2024.

The projects were selected on the basis of the framed criteria developed by the Ministry of Energy, which takes into account solutions for environmental problems, importance of the plant in the heat supply, efficiency of the project in terms of cost for consumers, technical condition of the power plant, and innovative technical solutions in the project.

According to the results of the project outtake, the generating companies assume the obligation to deliver the power for the period of 16 years, and to use localized equipment in the modernization projects, therefore investing money in the Russian energy mechanical engineering manufacture.

The project of modernization for Nevinnomysskaya GRES includes refurbishment of the boiler № 5 with the capacity of 480 t/h, which is technologically connected with 50 MW turbine № 4. The demand index for generating equipment presented in the project is more than 0.9. Commissioning after modernization is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.

The approved by the Commission capex of the project will amount to 13 023.7 roubles per kW.

Nevinnomysskaya GRES" of PJSC Enel Russia is a major energy utility in the South of the Russian Federation and it covers the power needs of the North Caucasus supplying energy to the enterprises and the citizens of Nevinnomyssk city of the Stavropol Region.

Currently, the installed capacity of Nevinnomysskaya GRES is 1530.2 MW and 585 gcal/h, including the CCGT unit 410.2 MW introduced in 2011. The plant includes 12 turbines and 14 boilers totally.
