Moscow, November 16th, 2018 – PJSC “Enel Russia” received a Certificate of readiness to operate during the 2018 – 2019 heating season.
The awarding of the Certificate of readiness to PJSC “Enel Russia” was preceded by a comprehensive assessment of the company's power plants, which was carried out in accordance with the methodology approved by the Russian Ministry of Energy on December 27, 2017 for assessing the readiness of energy industry subjects to operate during the heating season. According to this Methodology, each power plant of PJSC “Enel Russia” was assessed by the Ministry of Energy on 58 readiness indicators calculated on the basis of data obtained from PJSC “Enel Russia” within the framework of reports within the industry, by the System Operator and Rostechnadzor. The indicators of readiness cover aspects of operational and system reliability, readiness of personnel, implementation of maintenance program, technical condition of the equipment, health and safety, fuel supply and emergency response activities. In addition, the readiness assessment of facilities for the heating season was carried out by the company's internal commissions, as well as within inspections of the Technical Inspection and Rostechnadzor.

A set of measures has been developed and is being implemented at the company's power plants, aimed at ensuring system reliability and technological safety during the periods of peak loads and in conditions of low outdoor temperatures. Maintenance activities are carried out at the power plants according to the schedule, a stock of main, backup and starting fuel has been prepared, an emergency reserve of spare parts and materials has been put into storage.
The staff of the company is provided with special clothing, safety shoes and the necessary personal protective equipment. During the year, training sessions and knowledge tests regarding compliance with health and safety, industrial and fire protection standards have been conducted with the power plant personnel. In the course of quarterly special emergency training involving specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and medical staff, emergency and low temperatures response actions are being drilled.
This set of measures will allow to ensure reliable operation of the equipment and uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity to the consumers over the upcoming heating season.
Following the results of inspections of readiness, all power plants of the company – Konakovskaya GRES, Nevinnomysskaya GRES, Reftinskaya GRES and Sredneuralskaya GRES were declared ready by the Russian Ministry of Energy to operate during the upcoming heating season and PJSC “Enel Russia” obtained a certificate of readiness to operate work in the heating season of 2018 - 2019.
