Enel Russia appoints new head of health, safety, environment and quality

Moscow, August 1st, 2017 – Enel Russia has appointed Antonino Sindona as its new Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. In this position, he will replace Maxim Shalaev who will move to another position within Enel Russia.

Antonino Sindona started his career in Enel in 1988. His first place of work was the technical/maintenance department at S. Filippo del Mela Thermal Power Plant, Messina, Sicily. In March 1997 he left his position of Head of Electrical and Automation Department and in April 1997 became a Power Plant Director at Porto Empedocle Thermal Power Plant, then moving to Termini Imerese  Power Plant where he worked until 2004. After he pursued his career in Enel Generation Energy Management Division occupying leading position in H&S sector.

Antonino joined the International Division of Enel Group in 2008. He started as Head of Safety Department and then worked as Head of Safety Unit. Since January 2015, prior the appointment as Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality in Enel Russia, he held the position of Head of Health & Safety of CCGT/Oil & Gas and Hydro technology in Enel Global Thermal Generation Unit. From August 2016 he started to work in Enel Russia HQ supporting HSEQ and O&M departments.

Antonino Sindona has 29-year experience in power sector.

Antonino Sindona was born in 1961 in Sicily, Italy. In 1986 he graduated from Politecnico di Torino with the degree in Electrical Enginering and final grade 110/110. Being Italian native speaker, he also speaks English.
