Konakovskaya GRES ensures reliable heat supply to the town
Konakovskaya GRES has started supplying the heat carrier to the town main network.
On September 26, the power plant has started the winter mode of operation.
It meets all the requirements in terms of temperature, pressure and volume of the heat carrier, its temperature is 70 degrees Celsius. The power plant has also sufficient reserve capacities in case of the required increase in the heat supply including the cases when the peak heat load shall be reached.
We’d like to highlight that Konakovskaya GRES is located on the banks of the Volga River in Konakovo, Tver Region, and it is one of the largest suppliers of electricity and heat in the region. The installed electric capacity of the power plant is 2520 MW, the heating capacity is 120 Gcal*h. The main fuel is natural gas, the reserve one is fuel oil.
