Enel Russia and Tatarstan industry and trade ministry sign agreement on renewables at Tatarstan international forum on energy efficiency

  • The agreement is aimed at studying possible opportunities in the field of renewables in the Republic of Tatarstan

Kazan, April 10th, 2019 – Enel Russia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan signed today an agreement to exchange information and cooperate on a series of technical studies of environmental parameters (wind speed, temperature, atmospheric pressure) to identify possible opportunities for the development of renewable energy sources in the region, leveraging on the expertise and leadership of the Enel Group’s renewable energy business line, Enel Green Power.  

The agreement was signed during the Tatarstan International Forum on Energy Efficiency in Kazan by Carlo Palasciano Villamagna, Enel Country Manager in Russia, and Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the presence of Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

This is the second agreement signed with the Republic of Tatarstan. In February 2019 Enel X Rus, the Enel Group’s subsidiary in Russia, and power company JSC “Tatenergo” signed a memorandum of intent aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of e-mobility and V2G technologies. 

The Tatarstan International Forum on Energy Efficiency is a large-scale communication platform for discussing topical issues and demonstrating promising technologies and solutions in the field of energy savings and energy efficiency.
